Wow! Awesome review. I love the simplicity at which you write. Camping vacation is one of the best vacation I ever had, and it was with the four of my best friend. Kodiak canvas flex-bow deluxe looks cool. I will show this page to my family so we can mutually select before I go for one. Thanks for the Article.

Thanks for your thoughts on this article.  Camping is a great way to spend time with friends and family!

I’m actually really impressed. Your website is well organized, easy to read and well detailed.

The last tent, however, seems a little out of place. It’s a two-man tent in an article about family tents. I would probably limit this article to just 4+ person tents. Perhaps another article for parent & kid(s) weekend tents?

What may also help is a bullet-point summary next to each tent, with person capacity, size, weight, material and price? That said, the brief summaries of the tents’ virtues are actually really good, concise and very well written, so the summaries may actually not be necessary.

The pictures are also good. Perhaps a little biggest would be good.

I will say formatting should be consistent throughout (it is a bit of a pet peeve of mine). Spacing between headings and body text should be the same. There’s also a misplaced dash in the Zodiak item (or is this a placeholder for you; if so, nevermind.)

    Overall, really good. Well done.

Hi Dave- thanks so much for your feedback.  These are great recommendations; it would be difficult to fit a family in a two person tent.  🙂

Well I’m quite new to camping, but I have agreed to go on two trips this summer with friends…so I’m biting the bullet and going for my first ever tent!

I’m about 6 foot 3 in height so I need a tent that will fit my lanky legs. From your article I gather that the CORE 10 Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent would be the best choice for me due to the extra space – would you agree? (just me and my partner will be in the tent most of the time).

    • Misty

Hi Chris- yes, you are very tall.  🙂  I would agree that the Core 10 Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent would be the best choice for you.  I know the average tent is not made for people your height.

Thanks for this insightful post. I have loved camping right from my high school days and luckily for me, my wife is also a camping enthusiast and definitely my son too. At least, we go on camping 3 to 6times in a year depending on work schedule. I’ve been nursing the desire to change our family’s tent and seeing the Kodiak Canvas Flex-Bow Deluxe tent, I fell in love with its structure and features. Though, the price seem a bit high but it should be the most convenient among the listed.

    thanks for sharing this

Hi- thanks so much for taking the time to comment.  So nice that you are able to go camping as often as you do.  People get so busy that it’s hard to get away sometimes.  Glad you liked the Kodiak Canvas- if you get this, let me know how it turns out

Im just loving the Rolls Royce Tent, ventilation is a absolute must because I just detest the smell of a tent when its hot and humid. Loft space is a absolute bonus to help keep your family organised and tidy.

But then I am also very drawn to the Napia Truck Tent. That is awesome way to camp if maybe its just the two of you. Its also very reasonable priced.

I will back when we have our next camping vacation planned!

    • Misty

Hi Dianne- thanks for stopping by!  Yes-isn’t the Napia Truck tent just awesome??  It is so amazing how creative people are in inventing tents like these.
