At DeMotte Campground, you can go on a picnic, sight-see and view wildlife.  You can also hike through the spruce-fir and Ponderosa pine forests and see spectacular views of the Grand Canyon.

Located 25 miles south of Jacob Lake, on the Kaibab Plateau, this campground sits on the Forest edge of DeMotte Park which is the largest of several beautiful meadows on the Plateau.  If you want to learn more about the area, there are programs available. For supplies or a service station, Kaibab Lodge and a Country Store are nearby.

One unique feature about this campground is it’s home to many species of birds and wildlife, including the tassel-eared Kaibab squirrel, which is found nowhere else in the world.
